Kartika Purnima is a Hindu and Jain cultural festival that is celebrated on the full moon day of the lunar month of Kartika, which usually falls in October or November of the Gregorian calendar. It is also known as Panchaka Purnima in Odisha.
Panchaka is a five-day festival celebrated widely in Odisha, which is also known as Vaka Panchaka. Though people celebrate a whole-month festival starting from the beginning of Karika month and ending on the day of Kartika Purnima, most people celebrate the last festival starting from the Ekadashi to Purnima.
