Prathamastami (Odia: ପ୍ରଥମାଷ୍ଟମୀ or ପଢୁଆଁଷ୍ଟମୀ) is a festival in Odisha for the life and prosperity of the eldest child of the family. He is offered given a lit lamp ovation by the elder female relatives.
According to the Odia calendar, this festival is celebrated on the 8th day of Margasira. This year, we are celebrating it on 5th December 2023.
The Delicious Enduri Pitha (ଏଣ୍ଡୁରି ପିଠା) is also known as Haladipatra Pitha, mainly prepared on this day.
