Tampara Lake

The Tampara lake (Odia: ତାମ୍ପରା ହ୍ରଦ)is one of the Largest fresh-water lakes in Odisha. The biological richness is highlighted by the magnificent lake and the adjoining Chilika Lagoon.

The Chilika Lake is a brackish water lagoon, whereas the Tampara is a freshwater lake. The uniqueness of this lake is enhanced by the fact that it is largely secluded.

Between this lake and the Bay of Bengal, there is a dense forest. It’s a pleasant experience to cross the Tampara lake and then trek through the jungle to reach the sea beach.

This place would give you a nice experience in the summer afternoon; you can hang out here with your friends and family members.

Enjoy a leisurely boat ride while visiting Tampara Lake. The tranquility of the lake gives the ideal atmosphere for a moment of isolation. Water scooters may be rented by thrill-seekers to satisfy their adrenaline rush.

More Tips: Go to Chatrapur, cross the Beautiful Tampara lake in a boat, walk two kilometers through a Cashew nut jungle (be aware of bears and don't forget to leave markings in the route)- a pleasant surprise will be waiting for you; a breathtakingly beautiful virgin beach.
